The white coast of Spain. Main holiday destination for United Kingdom.

Spain has always been United Kingdom number one holiday destination for summer.

The main reason has always been the great beaches and the nice warm weather, especially in some certain areas of the country, where the sun shows up most part of the days along the year.

One of this Paradise places is the Costa Blanca or White Coast, on the south-eastern side of Spain. According to the World Health Organization, this area of Spain can presume of having one of Europe’s best climates. While winters are mild and dry, in summer, the heat isn’t as intense as in other regions, and humidity is also lower than the average.

Great beaches to relax together with best places to enjoy typical gastronomy, like paella, but also to enjoy adventure sports and activities if wanted.

Among many coastal cities there are two we´d like to highlight; one is Denia, it has gorgeous beaches, rocky coves, and a bustling town center.

The other one is Altea, a real gem. Its pretty seaside promenade is crowned by a labyrinthine old town of stepped streets, churches domed with blue glazed tiles, and bright white houses that look so Mediterranean.

Between these two coastal villages and near many other of coast-touristic ineterest, there´s a little inland treasure, located at the Pop Valley. It´s Alcalalí, in an area of great scenic beauty and high ecological value. If you get tired of the seaside, this place is full of contrasts: mountain ranges, winding gorges, valleys bathed in the scent of vines and an abrupt coastline with welcoming coves and dramatic cliffs. The rhythm of life is different and the streets are full of life during the summer nights, when locals take out their chairs to chat outdoors with their neighbours, as it has been along the decades in all the little villages of Spain.
