SEVILLE CITY BREAK
You can stay at our Boutique Hotel Holos, located in one of Seville’s most historic neighbourhoods, Heliopolis. This is a small charming hotel with 7 rooms, modern and avant-garde, where you can relax and enjoy the small pleasures in life. It’s only a 10-minute walk from the emblematic area of María Luisa Park, Plaza de España and Plaza de America and 20 minutes from the historic quarter. You can also get around by bicycle, a service provided by the hotel.
If you want an alternative, Carmen the hostess, offers you a selection of cultural activities so you can make the most of your days in the city. Jazz Concerts, Flamenco shows, stand-up comedy, night-time tours and guided tours of monuments, art exhibitions … The list is endless!
Things to do in Seville
You might want to begin your visit with a morning stroll through the city, visiting its most emblematic monuments. We recommend that you visit the Maria Luisa Park, declared of Cultural Interest as a Historical Garden. Here you can also find the Plaza de España, which has served as a cinematic backdrop on numerous occasions.
Next stop, a visit to the Cathedral and the Giralda. You can’t miss the Reales Alcázares (a royal palace set in stunning gardens), featured in Game of Thrones. We recommend that you visit them at night because it as the lighting creates a special atmosphere.
If you want to go out for dinner or have a drink at night, one of the best areas to do so is the Alameda de Hércules. It’s a pedestrian plaza where you can find plenty of bars and restaurants, you have a wide variety of leisure activities and gastronomy to choose from according to your tastes.
Today is a day to sample the authentic Seville that awaits you, that of getting to know its streets and people. Our starting point is the area near to the City Hall, where you can visit the most commercial streets of the city and the well-known wooden structure Las Setas (Metropol Parasol). Close by is The Barrio de Santa Cruz – Santa Cruz neighbourhood, with all the charm of its narrow and labyrinthine streets, squares, fountains, Sevillian patios full of plants and flowers … A real wonder!
Next stop, a visit the Guadalquivir River. You can cross one of its bridges and get to the Barrio de Triana an emblematic neighbourhood. Enjoy Sevilla’s fantastic weather by taking a boat trip along the river. While you’re in the area you could visit the city’s Aquarium, a modern and interactive space with many sea-creatures, a shark tunnel and pools to touch the fish. To finish, relax with a nice cold beer or caña and some typical tapas on any terrace overlooking the city.
So that’s it for our express 48-hour tour of Seville. We hope you have enjoyed it, and that in the short time you have been there you will have sampled Seville’s special atmosphere as well as the charm of the city and its people, as the Spanish say “Sevilla tiene un color especial”.
