Charming hotel Fervenza casa grande & restaurante is the former home of a miller converted in 1996 into a rural hotel and restaurant with ethnographic museum.

Located opposite an old seventeenth century mill, on the banks of the river Miño and surrounded by a fantastic woodland with 300 year old oak trees, this ancient Galician country house turned into a boutique hotel is the ideal place to relax and to relieve stress – also for pilgrims on their Way of St. James since Fervenza casa grande & restaurante is located only a few kilometers from the French way.

The 10 comfortable rooms are designed in country decor and equipped with telephone, free wifi, heating and bathroom. The house features a library, three lunges/halls and free parking area. Hotel guests can rent bicycles and/or canoes and – in addition to the magnificent pool – enjoy a natural swimming area in the river.

How to get there

By car from Vigo / Santiago de Compostela / A Coruña:
Merge onto A-6 motorway and take exit 488 (signs for Sarria-Monforte). At the roundabout of Nadela take exit towards the new C.G.2-2 road toward Sarria (“Via de altas prestaciones”). Take the 2nd exit (km 10 Lousada) and follow signs for Lousada. After 2,7 km turn right (signs for Conxunto Ethnographic A Fervenza). Keep straight for another 2,7 km until reaching a crossroad. Turn left following signs for “A Fervenza”. The hotel is at approx. 1 km.

From Vigo / Orense (via Monforte):
In Orense, take the road parallel to the Miño river toward Monforte. In Monforte cross the village and merge onto the road toward Lugo. Before entering Sarria, at a roundabout, take the fast track CG-2.2 toward Lugo. Take the exit toward Lousada-Maceda and follow signs for Lousada. After 2,7 km turn right (signs for Conxunto Ethnographic A Fervenza). Keep straight for another 2,7 km until reaching a crossroad. Turn left following signs for “A Fervenza”. The hotel is at approx. 1 km.

From Madrid:
Merge onto the A-6 motorway toward Lugo and take exit 479 Castroverde / Corgo. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit and cross the motorway. At the next roundabout keep straight on the D.P.1611 road and after approx. 0,5 km turning right merge onto the N-VI road toward Lugo/A Coruña. After 0,6 km, at the roundabout, keep straight following signs for Marei-Poboa de S. Xulián. At km-point 8,4 keep straight toward Guntín-Lousada-Páramo. At km-point 9,5 there are two roundabouts, keep straight. Look aout for km-point 12,7 where you have to turn right (signs for Conxunto Ethnographic A Fervenza). Keep straight for another 2,7 km until reaching a crossroad. Turn left following signs for “A Fervenza”. The hotel is at approx. 1 km.

From Ourense (N-540) or Santiago de Compostela (N-547):
After having passed the village of Guntín (on the N-540 road) and at about 6 km, turn right toward Lousada (avoid the first which is an old country road). Keep straight until getting to a stop-sign (7,4 km). Keep straight, cross the Miño river on a big bridge and after approx. 3 km turn left (signs for Conxunto Ethnographic A Fervenza).
